Having been an admirer of General Motor's Aerotrain, I thought about combining the classic sporty look of a Corvette with the sleek styling of the train. With General Motors' design team of Harley Earl and his Corvette and Bill Mitchell's Aerotrain, it had to make a nice painting of the 1958 era.
I was talking with a friend, Craig Clements, and he suggested I paint the XP-700 Corvette. It worked!
Whether or not the two ever appeared together on California's Cajon Pass, they should have!
