The Pup Cafe was the catalyst for my paintings of the fun roadside America. The Pup Cafe was in Culver City, California, on Washington Boulevard just east of Venice. The painting is 1931, with a new Ford Woodie and a couple stopping in for snacks on their way to Venice. The Pup Cafe was just two years old.
