After working on a landscape painting of Ostfriesland, Germany, I thought it would be fun to research the railroads of the German Nordsee area. Finding an image of a small German-built 0-4-0 used in the area was perfect. The site is non-specific, and I added a typical mill, house, and a church in the distance.
